iPSC 20th Anniversary Symposium

Twenty years ago, Shinya Yamanaka's induced pluripotent stem cell breakthrough, made in Kyoto, set the field on a path toward the clinic. This year, that path reached a landmark: two iPSC-derived therapies received conditional regulatory approval in Japan, the field's first commercially authorized iPSC-derived treatments.

Cellistic will join that anniversary at the ISSCR 2026 Kyoto International Symposium, October 20–22, as a Silver Sponsor.

Stefan Braam, PhD, has worked in iPSC and stem cell technology for over 15 years, co-founding Ncardia in 2011 to bring iPSCs drug discovery, then co-founding Cellistic in 2022 to scale that science into GMP manufacturing. He will attend throughout the symposium alongside Fionn Huang, Senior Director Business Development, APAC, and will lead a 20-minute Showcase presentation during the symposium.

Our work sits closest to two of the symposium's own tracks, iPSC differentiation and expansion, and enabling technologies for the next breakthrough, the same questions we work on with partners translating iPSC science into manufacturable therapies.
