Laboratory Operations Manager

We are looking for a Laboratory Operations Manager to lead and coordinate all aspects of our laboratory environment. In this role, you will ensure smooth day-to-day operations, regulatory compliance, and safe, efficient support for our R&D and Science teams.

Your Responsibilities

• Act as the head of laboratory operations, overseeing facilities, equipment, and supplies.
• Manage installation, qualification, and validation of lab equipment and computerized systems, in collaboration with IT and Procurement.
• Develop and enforce lab procedures aligned with health, safety, and GMO regulations.
• Ensure proper data management: databases, inventories, electronic lab notebooks (ELN), and document traceability.
• Act as point of contact for service providers (cleaning, landlord, building management).
• Collaborate with R&D leadership and Technical Services on shared equipment and technical support.
• Support preparation of annual R&D and Science budgets and monitor budget compliance.
• Ensure compliance with Belgian recycling law and maintain GLP/GMP standards.
• Organize and provide safety training for new lab members.

Your Profile

• Master’s degree in Sciences.
• Minimum 5 years’ laboratory experience, including GMO handling (S1/S2 GenTG).
• Strong expertise in lab operations, compliance, and project management.
• Experience with GLP/GMP environments and QMS systems is a strong plus.
• Solid background in cellular & molecular biology; immunology knowledge is an advantage.
• Experience in data/document control and reporting.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills.
• Proactive, problem-solving mindset with a quality focus.
• Fluent in English, both oral and written + ideally, working knowledge of French.
